CBS will finally release an interview it did with Woody Allen last summer, posting the material Sunday on its new service, Paramount+, the network said.
The sitdown, conducted in July by anchor Lee Cowan for a “CBS Sunday Morning” special, features the controversial movie director in his first in-depth television interview in almost 30 years, CBS said.
A recent HBO documentary, “Allen v. Farrow,” brought renewed spotlight to allegations from Mia Farrow’s daughter Dylan, who claims Woody Allen molested her as a child. Allen has long denied the accusations.
CBS will pair its Woody Allen interview with a 2018 chat it conducted with Dylan Farrow and a report on controversial artists, the network said.
“The interview, which occurred last summer during an active news cycle, is being presented now given the renewed interest in the controversy surrounding the filmmaker,” the network said in a statement.
