Brooke Shields swears by this holiday hangover cure

‘Tis the season to kick back with a couple of cocktails — too many, however, and you won’t be feeling so merry the next morning.

Just ask Brooke Shields, who’s been a fixture in the party-loving fashion world for decades. “I love wine, I love champagne, I love tequila,” the actress and model, 53, told Page Six Style at the launch of Meiomi‘s new sparkling wine in NYC Tuesday night. “And I love living my life!”

Continued the star, “Every time I want a glass of something, I just try to match it with a glass of water. The one-to-one rule! It’s hard to do when you’re downing countless glasses, of course, but it does make a difference.”

Shields stressed that it’s just as important to keep your skin hydrated, since the combination of alcohol and chilly temperatures can wreak havoc on your complexion. “Moisture, moisture, moisture — it’s all about the masks, the balms, the creams,” she explained. “I just pack them on, morning and night.”

And should she imbibe in a few too many drinks, the longtime cover girl turns to a Joan Crawford-approved quick fix.

“I like the ‘Mommie Dearest’ ice facial,” Shields said with a laugh. “If I have to get up and go do something, the shock of ice water will do it.”

Less dramatic, but still effective? Her rose quartz facial roller, which has proven to be a hit with Shields’ family, too.

“I put it in the freezer, but every time I go down to use it, my daughter’s already warmed it up!” the star said. “Christmas is coming, so I think I might have to get her one of her own.”
