Bride bans flower girl from wearing ‘attention-stealing’ tiara at her wedding

A bride has been slammed online after she banned her flower girl from wearing a tiara down the aisle at her wedding.

The "bridezilla" said she didn't want the little girl wearing the headpiece as it was 'taking away attention' from her as she branded her 'disrespectful'.

The anonymous bride's text message about her flower girl's outfit were posted in a Reddit wedding shaming forum.

The bride had written: "I wouldn't want her wearing a [tiara] because even though she is just a little girl, it takes attention away from [me and my fiancé].

"It's disrespectful in my eyes."

Outraged over the message, the person who posted the text wrote: "Feeling insecure from the flower girl… a kid!"

Many other Reddit users were also stunned that the little girl wasn't allowed to wear a tiara.

One wrote: "My flower girl was adorable and stole the show with cuteness and I didn’t care one bit. It was lovely!"

However, some were on the bride's side, as another added: "It’s apparent to me that the issue here isn’t that the flower girl is wearing a crown, it’s that her mom obviously wants all the attention on her daughter.

"Why else would she want her to wear something that no one else is wearing?"

Others were more diplomatic, as a fellow Reddit user added: "A compromise could be made here.

"No tiara walking down the aisle or in pictures – but for the reception let the tyke bling out.

"She's probably been told she's going to be a little princess, and got stuck on the crown idea."

Meanwhile another bride and groom were mocked by their guests recently as they asked for £55 cash donations on their wedding invites.

On the front of the card, the Australian couple printed a cheeky poem telling their family and friends to "pull out your greens and let it be seen".

The pair explained how no expense had been spared on their wedding day.

In the card, it read: "Our bank account is in debt and we would like it go back into credit. Please visit the ATM, we know you're a gem."

Eek, we wonder how many still attended that wedding.
