Food

Foot-long sausages for only 85p each

Hot dogs are the perfect treat during Bonfire Night – and thanks to Morrisons, you can be munching for most of the fireworks display.

The 12 inch bangers can be found in Morrisons stores across the country from now until November 7, and will only set you back £0.85 each or you can pick up two for £1.50.

If you'd like to pick up the foot-long roll to go with it, these are only 50p for two.

A giant pig-in-blanket big enough to feed ten people

With Christmas in less than two months, MuscleFood.com has launched a foot-long pig in blanket, perfect for large family gatherings.

The meaty beast weighs 1.5kg, feeds ten people and csots £17.95 from the online retailer.

A 1kg Nutella jar for £3.99

Hazelnut spread fans will love the news that Aldi is selling huge Nutella jars for only £3.99.

The family size jars of the popular hazelnut spread weigh in a whopping 1kg, giving shoppers more than enough to spread on their toasts on pancakes.

The giant jars usually cost from £5.20 at most supermarkets.

For the kids

Lidl brings back wooden toy range

Wooden toys never go out of the fashion, and thanks to the discount retailer, parents can now pick them up cheaply too.

The discount retailer has brought back last year's wooden toy range and it includes toys from £2.99 to £49.99.

L.O.L Surprise crackers on sale at Iceland

The bargain store is currently selling giant L.O.L Surprise Christmas crackers for just £3 each, meaning you can pick up three for the price of one.

But as the oversized crackers already have hit store shelves, you better be quick before Iceland runs out of stock.

Free £5 of Lego every month

If you have little ones between age of six and 14, you can go into your nearest official Lego stores on the first Thursday of every month between 4pm-6pm to take part in the Lego Mini Build.

Staff will show your kids how to make the model, which Lego told Moneysavingexpert is worth around £5 although it's not for sale.

Once it's been made, the kids can take it home for free.

How to find the cheapest deals

  • Find the cheapest online prices: Google Shopping is a good tool for finding the cheapest price – it searches a wide range of retailers of various sizes
  • Abandon online shopping baskets: Don't go straight to check-out after putting the items in your basket – it may tease retailers into giving you discount codes
  • Ask a site to negotiate a fee for you: If you're struggling to find a deal, Flubit is a free site that aims to negotiate discounts for you
  • Sign up to retailers' newsletters for big discounts: It sometimes means a percentage discount code, or a straight discount off your first shop
  • Check when stores discount groceries: Check with your local store when they discount food items that are about to expire – this is the perfect time to nab bargains

The best of the rest

Get a free Hotel Chocolate advent calendar including delivery

The high-end chcocolate company's calendar usually costs a whopping £12.50 with a £3.95 delivery charge but now there's a trick that will give you the full £16.45 back.

The only catch is that you have to sign up to cashback website Top Cashback as a new member and then redeem the offer.

Free sandwiches at Subway

If you head to your local Subway this weekend, you'll be able to pick up a free six-inch sandwich when you purchase one in store.

But you'll have to be quick as the deal's only available on Saturday from 11am to 7pm.

The deal applies to branches across the UK, but it's only valid on the smaller sized six-inch sandwiches.

Cheap gingerbread house baking kits at Aldi

Create your own winter wonderland with a 3D DIY gingerbread house from Aldi this winter.

The kit is part of Aldi's new baking range available online and in stores now, and it's really cheap at £3.49.

But you'll need to supply the gingerbread biscuit mix yourself.

Earn money through cashback websites

Cashback websites like Quidco and TopCashback pay you to shop through them.

To use it, you'll have to sign up to a cashback website, and then simply log in and search for the online retailer you want to buy from.

If you buy something, an amount is put into your cashback site account once the transaction has been processed.

You can withdraw this once it arrives, but keep in mind that this can take a few weeks and sometimes even months.

For some cashback sites, you need to reach a set threshold before you can withdraw, and the expected cashback isn't always guaranteed.

So it's important that you look for the best deal – and not just the biggest cashback – but if you're going to use a certain company, then it's worth checking if there's any cashback offers.

Spend over £60 at Iceland and get 12 per cent cashback

TopCashback offers new Iceland customers who spend more than £60 in one go, 12 per cent cashback.

In other words, if you spend £70 at Iceland you'll earn £8.40 in cashback, simply by signing up to TopCashback.

TopCashback also offers £5 off £40 at Iceland for new customers.

Keep in mind that TopCashback calculates cashback excluding VAT and delivery charges, and that the rates can change and that the expected cashback isn't always guaranteed.

If you don't want to spend over £60 on one shop, My Vouchercodes gives customers £8 off orders over £50 or £5 off orders over £40.

Get 17 per cent cash back at The Works

Quidco offers The Works customers 17 per cent cashback on all orders, which is a great deal if you need anything from books and art to toys and games.

If you also spend more than £20, you'll get free delivery as well.

The discount retailer has over 400 stores across the UK and Ireland.

Trevor Collins picked up 38 items, but says they only cost him £4.30.

The yellow sticker discounts are actually a great way for customers to nab a bargain – here are the best times to find them.
