Sarah Jessica Parker is most well-known for Sex and the City, but long before she stepped into Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic Manolos, she was busy sucking the life out of children with Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy in a little film called Hocus Pocus.
The 1993 movie has since become a beloved cult hit, especially around Halloween. While sitting down with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night, Parker took a second to reflect on the spooky holiday — she said she “loved” Halloween as a kid and frequently rocked incredible homemade costumes courtesy of her talented mother (a lion was her personal favorite) — as well as the 25th anniversary of Hocus Pocus.
“I don’t have a lot of memories of [Hocus Pocus],” she laughed. “I remember the filming of it, I just don’t remember what the movie is about as much. I’ve only seen it [a few times] . . . apparently my character is not very bright. She’s not very bright. She can fly and sing, and I think I liked to kill children.”
