An ultimatum, a confession and a heartbreaking diagnosis in Home and Away

This week in Home and Away, Neve (Sophie Bloom) returns to the Pier Apartment and admits she has to address her severe PTSD symptoms. Logan (Harley Bonner) is pleased with the breakthrough, but when he calls a friend in confidence to find out what Neve’s options are, it’s not looking good. When Neve finds out, will she do the right thing or try and escape again?

Meanwhile, Theo (Matt Edwards) is alarmed to discover that his community service documents have been delivered to his parents’ address. He immediately gets on the phone to his mum so she can hide the letter from his father. John (Shane Withington) overhears the call and asks Theo: what’s the issue with Dimitri knowing about his conviction? Theo then cautiously reveals a secret which leaves John horrified.

Elsewhere, Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) is rushed into hospital with severe abdominal pains. Logan takes him in for appendix surgery, and the Paratas are cheered when they realise they can spend more time with him than they anticipated while he recovers. However, when Logan finishes the operation, he has news which turns everyone’s worlds upside down…

Here’s what’s coming up on Home and Away for the week beginning Monday, April 4.

Logan gives Neve an ultimatum – turn herself in, or he will

Logan is concerned for Neve’s wellbeing after she left a goodbye note that indicated she would leave his life for good. However, after a search for her she returns to the Pier Apartment of her own accord. She accepts that her PTSD symptoms require professional help, and Logan asks a friend in confidence about her options. The response isn’t good – she’s facing seven years minimum in military prison. Neve refuses to turn herself in, but Logan says if she doesn’t then he will…

Theo confides in John about his abusive past

Theo shows up for his first day of community service and is alarmed to learn that his paperwork never showed up because it was sent to his old address – his parents’ house. The moment he can, he phones his mum and anxiously tells her to hide the documents from Dimitri. John overhears the conversation and takes Theo to one side. They have a heart to heart and John asks why he seems so worried about Dimitri discovering he’s got a conviction? Theo hesitantly reveals that his father has always had a temper and he would often get beaten up when he was growing up…

Roo reaches out to him, worried about his mental health in the aftermath of the Buried Alive prank. Ryder says he is speaking to a counselling phone line for support, but Roo suggests moving back home might be better. However, Ryder is insistent that he’s just fine in a caravan, and Alf begins to suspect that his grandson may never come home.

John proves to be a source of wisdom for Cash

Cash is struggling to understand Jasmine’s attitude after he turned down moving in with her. Although she’s insisting everything is fine, he isn’t convinced. When he talks to John about it, the older man provides some wisdom – when a woman says everything is fine, it isn’t! John suggests that Cash should apologise if he wants any hope of getting his relationship back to a good place, and Cash decides to act on the advice right away…

However, she’s determined to make the best of things and surprises Chloe with a bridesmaids dress. Chloe’s reaction is less than positive, as she feels responsible for ruining Mia and Ari’s happiness. Dean becomes the mediator in his mother’s relationship

After the explosive meal, Dean gets Karen to talk and she admits that she’s afraid of being hurt by another man. Dean says that Brett is only there to love her, but Karen says she’s too scared to believe in the possibility of love. Eventually, Dean gets through to her – it all comes down to believing you have a right to be happy. Karen invites Brett over to talk, wearing her best clothes and a new patient attitude. Will Dean’s attempts at mediation work?

Logan reveals that Ari has terminal cancer

Mia receives a worrying call from the prison – Ari has been sent to hospital. She rushes to see him, and finds him on a stretcher with severe abdominal pains. Logan runs some scans and says it looks like he’s having trouble with his appendix, so he needs surgery to get it removed. The Paratas find the sliver lining – at least this means they get time with him as he recovers from the operation. However, once the surgery is over, Logan comes out with some unexpected news – the issues with his appendix are more serious than he thought. Ari has cancer of the appendix and tumours in his abdomen. The chances of survival are slim to none…
