Prices in north Wicklow have become less affordable for commuters priced out of south Dublin, but further south in the Garden County, in Rathdrum, three-bed semis are selling for €262,950 at Viewmount.
The scheme, which is perched on an elevated site in the village, saw its third phase launch earlier this month, when eight of the 25 new houses were sold. When complete, the Oakway Homes scheme will comprise 52 A2-rated three and four-bed homes.
The starting price of €262,950 in this phase is for a three-bed spanning 1,248 sq ft. A four-bed semi, measuring 1,356 sq ft, costs from €284,950, while a detached four-bed of the same size is selling for €309,950.
Meanwhile, a three-bed semi-detached bungalow with 1,220 sq ft of living space is priced from €289,000.
There’s a double driveway out front and a lawn to the rear.
The contemporary-style kitchen comes with a separate utility room, and there are fitted wardrobes to the double bedrooms. A Hitachi air-source heat pump provides hot water and heating.
Viewmount is 2.3km from Rathdrum train station and 12km from the M11 motorway.
The development’s three and four-bed showhouses are on view tomorrow, from 12pm to 1pm.
