Morrisons is selling a bubblegum gin liqueur – ideal for summer cocktails

We are spoilt for choice when it comes to new drinks to try this summer.

What with Aldi bringing out a salted caramel liqueur that tastes like Lotus Biscoff and M&S launching a range of fruity gin liqueurs.

But now, Morrisons has unveiled a boozy product that’s got people talking.

The supermarket’s Liquorists Small Batch Gin range, created by Manchester Drinks, has a new addition – a bubblegum liqueur.

Morrisons recommends mixing the confectionary-themed tipple with lemonade and plenty of ice, for a refreshing beverage.

The drink – which is bound to make you nostalgic for childhood sweet shops – also shimmers when shaken, so will make a lovely sparkly addition to a garden party or BBQ.

It’s available in Morrisons stores now – priced at £10 for a 500ml bottle.

Richard Benjamin, director at Manchester Drinks, said: ‘We are excited to have worked with the Morrisons team again to produce this exciting new gin liqueur and expand our flavour offerings.

‘We have worked hard to create a deliciously balanced gin that is nostalgic in taste and hugely enjoyable to those looking for a sweet and fruity gin drink to enjoy with friends and family this summer.’

The Liquorists range already includes a ‘mystical unicorn’ liqueur alongside strawberries and cream and raspberry ripple – but the bubblegum variety is the latest arrival.

Fancy something totally different?

There’s a new umami gin to try, which is a savoury spirit made with a base of parmesan cheese and capers. It’s set to offer a twist on a classic G&T – but also sounds pretty perfect for a martini.

So no doubt that our drinks cupboards and bar carts will be bursting with exciting beverages over the coming months.
