You might have thought there was nothing good to come out of 2020, but McDonald’s is set to change that with their brand new launch at the end of the month.
The fast food chain is launching limited edition Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets on December 30. And it might be the best news we have heard all year.
The tasty new nuggets make use of an Asian fusion flavour, combining chicken breast meat with a crispy katsu curry panko breadcrumb coating, served with McDonald’s classic Sweet Curry dip.
Katsu-lovers are going to absolutely lose their minds.
For those unfamiliar with the Japanese classic, chicken katsu is dish of fried chicken made with panko bread crumbs, served with a tangy curry sauce that is often made with Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, onion, garlic and carrot.
McDonald’s version uses the chain’s Sweet Curry dip for the warming element to go with their nuggets, but the panko coating on the nuggets will ensure you get the proper katsu experience.
Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets will be available in six, nine and 20 piece options. Six McNuggets will cost you £3.59, nine will cost £4.09, and if you want to go big and get 20 McNuggets, it will cost £5.99.
But, if you want to try them you’ll have to be quick, as they are going to be around for just six weeks.
It could be just what you need to get your through an unsettled start to the new year.
