Lidl releases tiramisu that tastes like Biscoff cookies

Lidl is releasing a new dessert and it sounds pretty tasty – the Speculoos Tiramisu.

For those who don’t know Speculoos is the flavour of Biscoff cookies so you can have a dessert that tastes like the popular treats.

It also includes some of the elements of a tiramisu – light and airy vanilla flavoured mousse sitting on a bed of Speculoos, and all topped with a dusting of rich cocoa.

The pudding costs £1.29 for two servings and will be available in stores as part of Italian Week from February 25.

Lidl said: ‘Combining the cult favourite flavours of speculoos (think Biscoff, but fancier) with the elegant style of a classic tiramisu, this pud is sure to impress no matter what the occasion.

‘Perfect served on its own or with a generous drizzle of fresh cream, it’s the ultimate after-dinner dessert – or even a cheeky afternoon treat!’

There’s also a strawberry version if you prefer a fruity flavour.

But if tiramisu isn’t you’re thing, we have lots of recipes using the spiced cookies or the spread made with the same flavours.

These Biscoff French toast roll-ups involve coating bread in the spread, dipping them in a mixture and frying them.

For a slightly more complex bake, you could try this white chocolate and Biscoff cookie pie.

You’ll need butter, flour, brown and white sugar, chocolate chips and a jar of sweet cinnamon spread.

And if you want a low ingredient option, these Biscoff truffles need just three things – biscuits, spread and cream cheese.
