How to make Costa's 'viral Toblerone hot chocolate' at home – for just 85p

It’s hard to resist the allure of a hot festive takeaway drink as it gets colder – but these don’t tend to come cheap.

In fact, customers will spend around £4.50 minimum for festive beverages at popular coffee chains, with the non-dairy options costing at least £5.

Plus, these prices continue to rise even more if you’re getting it delivered.

With the current cost of living crisis, this really can add up.

But the good news is that you can recreate some of the popular Christmassy drinks at home.

The money experts at Financial World have put together a cuppa-saving recipe for Costa’s Toblerone hot chocolate – which you can make at home for just 85p per cup, compared to £4.60 in store.

That’s a whole £3.75 cheaper when you make it in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Plus, if you decide to go plant-based at home it actually works out cheaper than the dairy version, averaging 78p per cup – £4.30 cheaper than Costa’s.
