WHEN it comes to home recipes, we all have our own methods and preferred ingredients. 

But there are some ingredients that just don’t mix right?

A woman is going viral for her salted caramel popcorn recipe but there is one ingredient that has everyone confused.

First Jane said: “Place the egg in the middle of a hot pan.”

The next ingredients she added were pretty standard popcorn ingredients.

She said: “I’m going to add two sticks of butter. Get it nice and hot so you just want to move them around. We're going to add our Werther's caramels. Just going to melt these down with our butter.”

She said: “The butter is going to boil as our caramels break down into a sauce. Look at that, the caramel is starting to bubble.”

Jane said: “Now is where we gotta go fast we’re going to add in our popcorn kernels directly into our pan. Now quickly we’re going to mix it all together before the caramel hardens again.”

She said: “This would not be any good without at a little bit of flaky sea salt because there is nothing better than salted caramel popcorn.“

Jane joked: “What's gonna hatch first the caramels or the egg?”

Jane then puts the lid on and gives the pan a little rock.

Jane said: “One last thing to do is take out our little burnt egg.”

She said: “Caramel popcorn you can eat at home. That is better than the store.”

Video went viral with over 4.2 million views.

Viewers were baffled at why the foodie added an egg into the recipe.

One commenter said: “The Salted Caramel Popcorn Egg is for tomorrow’s breakfast.”
