Coins
Musclefood’s protein Advent calendar (£4.95, musclefood.com) has 25 high-protein chocolate coins that contain half the sugar of traditional chocolate Advent treats.
Made from Colombian cocoa beans, coconut almond butter and protein pea isolate, there are 61 calories and 19 per cent protein per coin. A bargain at the price.
Bars
BoostBox’s Advent calendar (£39.99, getboostbox.co.uk) contains 25 different high-protein bars such as Pulsin, PhD and Boostballs.
There is an average protein content of 15g per product and a wide range of flavours.
It’s a bargain as the contents are worth over £60, but with some bars packing 200 calories, you’ll have to do some exercise to justify scoffing one a day.
Balls
The Protein Ball Co calendar (£12.99, theproteinballco.com) contains, unsurprisingly, protein balls.
Flavours include peanut butter and jam, goji and coconut, and pistachio and lemon – and are light but filling with just 30 calories each.
A perfect daily treat. Sadly, the balls you buy in regular bags work out much cheaper.

Budget
George at Asda, 12 Days of Christmas (£20, Asda)
The store’s first-ever beauty Advent calendar features 12 days’ worth of products from the George beauty range.
Six shades of George satin lipsticks and six shades of their long-lasting nail polish are included in a traditional-style Advent calendar box.
Together the contents are worth £30. Not a huge variety of products, but a nice gift if you’re on a budget. Can be purchased from stores nationwide.
MID
Feel Unique, The Little Beauty Parcel (£75, feelunique.com)
24 boxes filled with deluxe and full-size beauty treats worth an incredible £250.
I love the fabulous fairytale story book design. There is a real variety of products spanning skincare, make-up and hair care from brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Ciate, Caudalie and Revlon.
My favourite for 2018, and a great opportunity to try out big-name brands without forking out on pricey products you might not love.
LUXURY
Elemis, 25 Days of Beauty (£150, elemis.com)
The ultimate calendar for luxury skincare lovers. It features 25 products worth more than £345.
Contains everything from their award-winning pro-collagen marine cream to body creams, body oils, masks and face washes.
A pricey option but the contents more than make up for this. If you’re serious about skincare, this is the one for you.
