Princess Anne looked chic in a cream coat, her hair in its classic beehive style. She wore a gold brooch and a navy blue bag.

The 70-year-old Princess Royal matched her gloves to her bag.

She wore pearl earrings and a cheery shade of pink on her lips.

During the event, Anne also got a glimpse of the Northern Ireland Centenary Rose.

In the Antrim Castle Gardens, she met gardeners and volunteers.

The royal presented them with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service for their work in the community.

She attended a reception for local voluntary and charitable organisations and spoke with local healthcare professionals who have been working throughout the pandemic in hospitals and the community.

The Princess Royal spoke with Colin Dickson, the breeder of the Northern Ireland Centenary Rose.

Fans were quick to praise the senior royal during her outing.

Princess Anne wore a cheerful yellow coat despite recent family divorce news.

The royal was faced with the sad news that her son Peter Phillips has officially finalised his divorce.

A spokesman for the former couple said the agreement has been approved and ordered by the High Court.

The spokesman said: “Whilst this is a sad day for Peter and Autumn, they continue to put the wellbeing and upbringing of their wonderful daughters Savannah and Isla first and foremost.

“Both Peter and Autumn are pleased to have resolved matters amicably with the children firmly at the forefront of those thoughts and decisions.”

Peter Philips is the Queen’s firstborn grandchild.
