Thrifty couple transform their drab kitchen in lockdown using £10 B&Q adhesive

WE'RE fed up with baking. We've tided every corner of our homes. And we've officially got to the point in lockdown where we're bouncing off the walls with boredom.

In an attempt to keep busy over the past month, thrifty couple Chelsea Holland and Daniel Correia, from Northern Ireland, decided to revamp their drab kitchen on a budget.

Speaking to Belfast Live, Chelsea, 20, explained how they transformed the room in just two days with some bargain buys from B&Q.

Describing how their old decor was "dull and boring", Chelsea said: "We had an idea of what we wanted and after I looked into it in more detail we just went ahead and did it ourselves.

"We just thought to ourselves why not when we’re in lockdown. We may as well put the time to good use!"

To begin with, Chelsea and Daniel purchased two £10 rolls of marble-effect adhesive film from B&Q to cover their plain black countertops.

And to finish off, Chelsea added some fake flowers and marble homeware accessories she picked up in B&M and Asda which took the total to £70.

Chuffed with the results, Chelsea says it feels like a whole new room – and now their mates are trying to revamp their homes on a budget too.
