IT WAS a washout for racegoers attending the final day of Glorious Goodwood Festival today.
Brave attendees ditched the famous fascinators in favour of plastic ponchos and umbrellas as they battled the elements at the event in West Sussex.
Though peeking out from underneath the colourful umbrellas littering the racecourse were some seriously stylish outfits.
Floral floor length dresses may not have been weather appropriate but they made for a striking entrance for several women.
Meanwhile some seriously dedicated fashionistas could be seen braving an open toed sandal for the event.
Several fillies had opted for a see-through poncho so as to best show off their glamorous looks.

They certainly didn't allow the unseasonal downpour to dampen their spirits with arrivals all-smiles today.
As in previous years, attendees need to stick to a few basic dress code rules for Glorious Goodwood.
While men are required to wear a jacket and tie, women must go for a "garden party look".
On the website, they say: "A floaty or floral dress, an elegant top and trouser/skirt combination that is suitable for England in summer."

They also recommended leaving the stiletto heels at home as the uneven ground can be "tricky to walk on".
The only clothing not permitted at the festival's Richmond Enclosure, meanwhile, is shorts.
However, it's unlikely that anyone would have opted for those today.
