Prince William has 'no desire' to watch The Crown & it'd be 'sad' for him & Harry to see parents on screen, insider says

PRINCE William has "no desire" to watch The Crown as it'd be "sad" for him and Harry to see their parents' marriage to play out on screen, an insider has claimed.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, a source claimed the two brothers would not watch the new season of the hit Netflix series – which portrays Princess Diana and Charles' troubled marriage.

The insider told royal correspondent Katie Nicholl: "Harry has seen the trailers for series four but I can't see him watching it."

What's more, a friend of Prince William's claimed the Duke of Cambridge has "no desire" to watch the series.

Another source said: "The feeling is that the latest series would actually be quite sad for them to watch."

It comes as royal author Angela Levin claimed Prince Harry said he would "insist" the show ended before it "reaches" him during a 2018 interview.

Appearing on TALKRadio this week, Angela explained: "When I met Harry at Kensington Palace the first question he asked me was, 'Are you watching The Crown?'

"I mumbled and said, 'Are you and the rest of the Royal Family?' He said, 'Yes, we're all absolutely watching everything but I'm going to insist it stops before it reaches me.'"

Last year, Olivia Colman revealed the Queen's grandson, Prince William, had told her he doesn't watch The Crown.

She told the Radio Times: "He said, ‘I know what you’re doing here.’ I asked, ‘Do you watch it?’ He said, ‘No, I don’t.’”
