A MUM has revealed how she transformed her unremarkable kitchen into a chic new space for just over £30.
Jamie-Lee Siviglia, who lives in London, took to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains, run by money saving mum Holly Smith, where she shared her dramatic before and after photos.
Before the makeover Jamie-Lee’s kitchen served a purpose but was far from the designer dream, made up of simple plywood units and a faux granite worktop.
But the after photos showcase a showroom worthy kitchen with trendy grey cupboards and a stripped oak style surface.
Captioning the snaps Jamie-Lee revealed she had been inspired by another at-home makeover.
She wrote: “Thank you so much to the person who revamped there kitchen…..I did the exact same but with different colour scheme all for £31.
“Paint is b and q multi surface in the colour “Delaware” £18 and the worktop was using there sticky back plastic £6.50 a roll (sic).”
And it seems fellow group members were equally impressed with her post receiving almost 2,000 likes in just 24 hours, and hundreds of comments from people praising her hard work.
“I really want too do this!!” wrote one, while another added “Can you come and do mine.”
A third wrote: “All these kitchen makeups look fantastic so cheap to do also.”
While another commented: “How do everyone’s worktops look so amazingly finished? And edged so perfectly.”
It comes just a day after a fellow mum shared the incredible results of her bathroom makeover that cost her just £35 on the same Facebook group.
Samantha Campbell, from Livingston, first shared a before shot of the room which saw it decorated in ageing yellow wallpaper.
But in the after photos the room is virtually unrecognisable, with fresh pale pink wallpaper and new cabinets breathing new life into the space.
Captioning the images she wrote: “Cheap revamp of the WC as you can see from the before pics when we moved in it wasn’t in good condition at all.
“Wallpaper was from Wilko £6 a roll on offer & needed 2 rolls and cabinets I got from local selling site for £10.
