I made the best Christmas baguette ever in the air fryer, it's so easy and needs just four ingredients | The Sun

WITH so much Christmas food rammed in the fridge, the temptation is there to eat some before the big family meal.

And one Scots mum couldn't resist making a festive snack in the days leading up to December 25.

Laura, from Scotland, regularly shares her organising tips and shopping hauls with fans on TikTok – @unorganisedmummy – as she "tries to get her backside in gear".

But since picking up a Sur La Table air fryer in Costco, she's also been sharing some cooking tips on social media.

Speaking about her new kitchen staple, she told followers: "They were a bargain at £99!

"They had them right at the front door just on a pallet."

And she said she's already used it to make the "best Christmas baguette ever".

In a short clip, Laura can be seen cooking part baked baguettes in on drawer of the air fryer while pigs in blankets sizzle away in the other side.

Once both are cooked, she spreads butter and cranberry sauce on the warm roll before adding her pigs in blankets and tucking in.

She said: "Pigs in blankets are so underrated. They should be an everyday food.

And social media users are desperate to give it a go, as one gushed: "Now I need to go make one of these. I may need to re stock the christmas items now."

Elsewhere, an air fryer pro has revealed the five mistakes to avoid with yours – including not overcrowding the basket.

Firstly, despite lots of people insisting the contrary, Roxie told followers on TikTok you must always preheat your air fryer.

Her second tip is to use oil and/or butter to keep some moisture in your food – the suggestion that caused perhaps the most controversy in the comments section.

Roxie also said it's important to use water when you fry fatty foods.

And in terms of the size of the air fryer you have, it's a good idea not to overcrowd the basket of yours.

If you're considering buying one in the January sales, you should also think carefully about the size you need, as Roxie concluded her list with "picking an air fryer that's too small".
