ONE woman is urging people to investigate anyone they are thinking about going on a date with as the results could shock you.
After googling the "cute guy" who asked for her number, Gracie Jacobs realised the terrifying truth about the man.
Taking to her TikTok account, Gracie said that she was delighted at first when the guy she refers to as "Bob" asked for her number on a night out.
The man text her the next day and the first thing that she found strange, was the fact that his name was totally different to the one he gave her.
Posting under the domain @itsgraciejustgracie she said "Everyone always says that googling people is creepy, but you have to, and I'm gonna tell you why."
"I met a guy at a bar, let's say his name is Bob, so I give him my number. I wake up the next day and I have a text from a guy, and it says 'hope you got home safe, by the way, this is Bob' but the name that popped up was like 'maybe John Smith'" said Gracie.

Adding: "I thought well that's weird he told me his name was Bob, those names do not even go together."
Suspecting something was up, Gracie asked the man if he had Instagram, which he said was deactivated.
"So I'm like 'what's up Bob if that's even your real name, do you have Instagram?' And he was like no it's been deactivated, and I'm like OK that's weird" said Gracie.
Adding: "So I look up 'John Smith' on Instagram and he pops up, it's a private account, so I'm like OK so he either has a girlfriend, or he has a girlfriend, that's pretty much all we have right now."

"I googled John Smith and BOY am I glad I googled that name. His picture pops us it's like allegations against him for like I don't even know, like some abuse charge, I was like 'oh, OK'" said Gracie.
Adding: "So lesson learned, be creepy, be nosey, it could maybe like save your life or something, I don't know?"
