Blow to Meghan Markle & Prince Harry's Archewell Foundation as senior aide quits – and couple take 'full lead' | The Sun

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry's Archewell Foundation has taken a blow as its senior aide quits – seeing the couple take "full lead".

Mandana Dayani, 40, has resigned as the president of the company – just days after the pair's explosive Netflix documentary trailer was released.

Mandana, who is understood to have been running day-to-day operations at the company for less than 18 months, will not be replaced.

Harry and Meghan said they will now take "full lead" of the non-profit Archewell Foundation, a spokesman said.

Mandana's resignation has followed the release of the couple's documentary trailer.

On Thursday, Netflix released a 59-second glimpse into what the Harry and Meghan docuseries will include.

It has already been slammed by Piers Morgan as "repulsive", who also branded the trailer "hypocritical".

A spokesman for the Sussexes said the Mandana moving on was "mutually planned".

The spokesman said: "Ms Dayani has been an integral part of Archewell and we are grateful for her passion, commitment and leadership.

"Ms Dayani was brought on during their parental leave to move the company and its projects forward.

"She has continued to shape its vision and future successfully.

"Her transition was mutually planned, with intent for the Duke and Duchess to now take full lead of their company.

"There will be no replacement for this position, and Ms Dayani is fully supportive of the Duke and Duchess in their new leadership roles, and they remain friends."

Meanwhile, the trailer revealed never before seen photos and videos of the pair – including Meghan crying, and she and Harry dancing.

It also seemed to offer a sneak peek inside Frogmore Cottage – which the couple called home before Megxit.

However, The Sun exclusively revealed yesterday that one of the photos included in the trailer – of them apparently being hounded by the press – was from a Harry Potter premiere years before they met.

The documentary, which is said to be six episodes in length, is said to be hitting screens this Thursday.
