For the latest instalment of its popular GEL sneaker series, ASICS has drawn on inspiration from its 2005 GEL-HELIOS sneaker, and reworked it for 2020 to unveil the GEL-KYRIOS.
Preserving the foundation of the HELIOS, this updated silhouette features modern technologies on retro materials. A performance sneaker at heart, the shoe’s reconfigured midsole now aligns with the brand’s new hybrid approach, while also paying homage to its past.
Layered with a FLYTEFOAM Propel system and GEL technology in the heel and forefoot, this sneaker’s outsole is also complemented with an exaggerated traction pattern for a distinguished ASICS design.
Arriving in two colorways – red/black and white/blue – each GEL-KYRIOS is completed with tooling influences from Kiko Kostadinov‘s signature GEL-KIRIL.
The first drop of the new GEL-KYRIOS colorways will be available from August 27 via the ASICS webstore.
In other news, Salomon Advanced’s trail-ready XA-Pro Fusion has landed in a vibrant yellow colorway.
