WACKO MARIA, one of Japan’s staple labels, has linked up with tenure vintage brand WOLF’S HEAD for the Spring/Summer 2021 season.
The new collaboration sees both brands embracet their heritages, specifically highlighting the 1950s American aesthetic and combining it with Japanese street chic. The capsule collection stylizes the symbolic, relaxed bowling shirt made popular in the ’50s, with Japanese-inspired graphics and motifs that feature skulls, lanterns and snakes drawn by WOLF’S HEAD’s very own Takuji Mikida. Aside from the open collar shirts, the lineup also includes iterations of the traditional hanten and kokiuchi jackets. The capsule’s color scheme are navy blue, orange-red, sea foam green and the classic white.
The latest collaboration between WACKO MARIA x WOLF’S HEAD is now available online at WACKO MARIA and select retailers across Tokyo. The price of the shirts range between approximately $275 USD to $440 USD.
