New Titanium G-SHOCK Full Metal Gets Five Flavored Bracelet

This multi-colored new addition to G-SHOCK’s Full Metal 5000 Series sees the brand debut a new ultra-hard titanium alloy.

The alloy is twice as hard as regular titanium and allows the metal to take a mirror polish, something not easily achieved using standard titanium.

This breakthrough has allowed G-SHOCK’s designers to run riot with the GMW-B5000TR, not only producing the first titanium G-SHOCK with a mirror-finished bezel and bracelet, but to form that bracelet from links in five different ion-plated metallic shades, including a newly developed dark blue.

Titanium specialist and Nippon Steel subsidiary, TranTixxii, developed the alloy, which maintains its lightweight, anticorrosive and hypoallergenic properties, specifically for G-SHOCK over a six-year period.

The GMW-B5000TR also boasts Smartphone Link function for automatic time adjustment, world time, Multiband6 radio timekeeping, stopwatch, countdown, five daily alarms and the brand’s Tough Solar power technology.

The GMW-B5000TR drops in the UK in early April via G-SHOCK, priced £1,480 GBP ($2,060 USD).
