It’s safe to say that 2022 has been the year of the Air Jordan 2 for Jordan Brand. While other Jordan Brand models such as the timeless Air Jordan 1 have similarly dominated headlines throughout the year, the Air Jordan 2 has seen a sharp increase in its collaborations and colorways. Now, as this year’s releases have mostly been revealed, early looks and rumors of Jordan Brand’s 2023 release schedule have started to surface. Included in this is the “UNC to Chicago” colorway landing on the Air Jordan 2 Low.
Previously appearing on the Air Jordan 1, the “UNC to Chicago” theme celebrates Michael Jordan’s journey from the University of North Carolina to the Chicago Bulls. Both organizations utilize white in their color palettes, resulting in a majority of the shoe favoring white and off-white. Red linework at the midfoot referencing the Bulls turns to UNC’s “Powder Blue” at the heel. Additional detailing includes white leather on the upper and the Air Jordan 2’s standard sole unit in “Sail” with a hit of “Powder Blue” at the heel.
Currently, a release date of March 8 has been set for the Air Jordan 2 Low “UNC to Chicago.” Look for it to be available in women’s sizing via Nike and select retailers at a price of $160 USD. Stay tuned for more information regarding this release, including official images, in the coming months.
In the meantime, be sure to check out the launch information for the Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 1 Low “Voodoo.”
