Drake‘s label October’s Very Own (OVO) shows no signs of slowing down, as it follows on from a recent “Winter Survival Collection” and a Jurassic Park-themed capsule collection with yet another collaboration, this time around tapping the Japanese indoor-outdoor footwear giant Suicoke.
Releasing as part of the brand’s Fall/Winter 2021 offering, the collaboration takes form on Suicoke’s Zavo Sandal and the ELS M2AB Mid Boots, dropping both silhouettes in brand-specific shades of purple, beige, and black. Elevating the classic silhouettes is OVO’s application of lush suede which is rich and thick in its pile, allowing the embossed OVO emblem to look like it’s engraved into the uppers in its repeated pattern.
Tonal straps appear on the sandals and act as the base for OVO’s owl graphic logo to sit upon, while Suicoke branding is found nearby, subsequently leading the eye towards the tonal sole unit. As for the mid-length boots, the OVO branding is also found all over the upper but now the owl graphic hits up the lateral side towards the collar, while a Suicoke tab appears beneath near the rear-quarter on the heel. Rounding out the pair is a back zipper fitted with a leather pully.
Take a look at the OVO x Suicoke collaboration above, and expect the range to drop at midday on December 18 at OVO stores and online.
In other news, COMME des GARÇONS’ divisive Nike Premier heels have been released.
