Adele shared an emotional moment with fans during a recent residency performance on Saturday as she neared the end of her Las Vegas run.
The 34-year-old hitmaker previously postponed her highly anticipated string of shows for 11 months just hours before she was due to make an appearance and admitted she still felt pressure on stage.
‘I have been waiting for so long to get to this weekend and I didn’t even realise it,’ the star informed the starry-eyed crowd.
She continued on: ‘What I haven’t been able to get out of my head since the beginning of the show was that it took so long, and I was like: “When am I ever going to say I’ve done my residency?”.
‘And this weekend, if not for the added shows, I would have completed my residency.
‘Even though I have got four more weekends left after this, I have been waiting for so long to get to this weekend.
‘When I cancelled the original dates it was terrifying to do. But better late than never, and the shows have been a success.
‘I knew I was making the right decision.’
Adele’s heart-felt moment came after engagement rumours swirled for the star and her sports agent beau Rich Paul, 41.
Spotted wearing a massive diamond on her ring finger during a show in Vegas, eagled-eyed fans speculated nuptials could be on the horizon for the Easy On Me singer.
Her choice of jewellery was picked up by online gossip site Deux Moi who also revealed she was ‘planning a summer wedding’.
Neither Adele nor Rich have commented on the latest rumour surrounding their relationship as of yet.
Last weekend’s show wasn’t the first time the artist burst into tears while offering crowds renditions of her hits.
She was previously filmed sobbing after an elderly man attempted to show her a picture of his late wife on his phone.
Dedicating the ballad Someone Like You to the ticketholder, she said: ‘When I walk through the crowd, I wish you could see what I can see. Because I know I talk to a few people every night, but then I just see little stories of people happening.
‘There was a man, he’s just there, holding his phone up. I think that’s his wife on the phone, and I don’t think she’s here, and it just really moved me.
‘I’m so sorry for your loss, and I didn’t realise what you were showing me until I was over here.
‘I see these little pockets of people’s lives as I walk through and it’s so beautiful.’
Adele’s residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace will come to an end on March 25, 2023.
