Vanessa Feltz ‘top of wish list’ for Celebs Go Dating bosses after Ben Ofoedu split

Vanessa Feltz has been hotly tipped to join Celebs Go Dating, following her split announced over the weekend.

Vanessa, 60, shared over the weekend that she and her fiancé of 16 years, Ben Ofoedu, 50, have broken up in video posted on Instagram.

The journalist said the “trust had gone” in the relationship as she alluded to infidelity, and added that she was “absolutely determined to put my best foot forward”.

It's now been revealed that Vanessa’s next step could be taken on the E4 show Celebs Go Dating, as bosses are thought to be keen to sign her up for the next series.

A source told The Sun the presenter could receive a big pay check if she agrees to be on the show.

The insider said: “Vanessa is top of the wish list when it comes to casting.

"Talks with potential cast mates are going to begin next month and producers are willing to throw big money Vanessa's way in a bid to get her to sign on the dotted line."

They added: "It remains to be seen whether Vanessa will take them up on their offer but they are going to pull out all the stops, so watch this space."

Celebs Go Dating sees single celebrities hunt for love, with the help of professional matchmakers and has previously featured TOWIE's Pete Wicks, former Love Island star Megan Barton-Hanson and Ulrika Jonsson.

Considering her recent split, the E4 show might just be what Vanessa needs.

According to the source, the TV star would prove to be a big ratings hit on the series, after gaining mass adoration from the public after being so open about her split.

OK! has contacted Channel 4 and Vanessa’s representatives for comment.

The reports come after Vanessa admitted she feels “humiliated” over her split, during an emotional appearance on This Morning on Wednesday.

She said on the show: "I think I'm feeling just like anyone else would after the end of a 16-year relationship, which I had my heart and soul in.

"I believed wholeheartedly in it and so when you have to end a relationship, it is very hard. I'm feeling it just like anybody else."

Despite her woes, Vanessa went on to thank fans for their supportive messages and hosted a heartbreak phone-in where callers were encouraged to give her advice.

Vanessa and Ben's split comes amid claims he cheated on her with "several women". Ben is yet to address the accusation and his representative has not responded to OK!'s request for comment.
