Married At First Sight was the most talked-about reality TV show of 2018.

And season six looks set to deliver plenty of shocking moments when it premieres later this month, after a new trailer showed a wedding guest dramatically objecting to one couple’s marriage.

Channel Nine released the jaw-dropping teaser on Wednesday, which showed a man – who appears to be a family member – potentially ruining his relative’s wedding.

As a bride and groom prepared to exchange vows at the altar, the marriage celebrant said: ‘If anybody here objects, please speak now of forever hold your peace.’

After a brief pause, a male wedding guest sitting in the front row on the bride’s side of the church raised his hand to object.

At that point, the screen went black and a voice could be heard yelling: ‘Oh my God!’

Elsewhere during the trailer, the same bride wept hysterically while wearing her wedding gown.

Channel Nine claims the new season will ‘deliver real love drama, like never before’.

This year, viewers will watch 20 strangers – including professional cricketer Cameron Merchant, First Dates star Dino Hira and Home and Away extra Samuel Ball – attempt to find love on the reality show.

Producers are no doubt eager to top season five, which saw the finale become the show’s highest-rating episode ever with a national average audience of 2.22 million.

Viewers were mostly captivated by the so-called ‘affair’ between Davina Rankin and Tracey Jewel’s ‘husband’ Dean Wells.
