Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid, 50, took to social media today to wish her former colleague well, following his announcement that he’s moving back to Australia. The favourite ITV presenter worked with her friend and BBC correspondent Nick Bryant when she was starting out as a young journalist and radio reporter.

Sharing his initial post with her 827,100 followers to see, the ITV presenter wished her former colleague good luck.

She wrote: “Congratulations on your brilliant achievements @NickBryant.”

Susanna went on to reveal that she had worked with the BBC New York correspondent early on in her career.

“Will never forget starting out at R5Live together,” she wrote.

The ITV host started out at BBC Radio Bristol before moving to BBC Radio 5 Live as a reporter and producer.

She continued: “An intrepid, fearless reporter and an authority on everything you take an interest in.

“Best of luck,” she ended the thoughtful message.

Her response comes as former colleague Nick announced his exit from the BBC.

Taking to Twitter, he confirmed he would be leaving the broadcaster with his 48,800 fans.

He wrote: “I have loved my 25 years with the BBC.

“To work alongside so many colleagues I admire and adore has been one of the great gifts of my life.

“But I’ll be leaving later in the year – returning to Australia, happy, contented and genuinely excited about what’s next.”

Susanna’s kind tweet comes hours after the ITV presenter snubbed former GMB host Piers Morgan while celebrating the show’s birthday, despite the pair co-hosting the news programme for six years.

Susanna began: “A huge happy birthday this morning to…”

“Adil?” Ranvir Singh asked before he questioned: “Again?”

“Well, I was going to say to the programme…,” Susanna revealed as Adil burst out laughing.

“How old is this programme?” he asked and his co-host continued: “Because we launched on this day back in 2014.”

Susanna went on to gift a pair of crocs to her co-presenter, who branded them “disgusting”.

“I hate these things, they’re vile. But apparently, they’re back in fashion,” the comedian added.

The pair went on to present GMB with no mention of Susanna’s long-standing hosting partnership with Piers.
