Sarah said she was contacted by publishers about the idea in September, a month after speaking out about her diagnosis.

Giving an update about her breast cancer battle, she began by thanking her fans for their ongoing support.

She went on to say: “Everyone has been so kind and reading your comments and DMs has been such a huge source of strength to me.

“I can’t deny that things are tough right now, but I’m fighting as hard as I possibly can and being as brave as I know how.”

The singer went on to tell fans she had written her first autobiography.

“It came at such a good time for me as it’s given me something fun and positive to focus on, while I’ve been stuck at home in between trips to the hospital for treatment,” she continued.

“I’ve nearly finished it now and this week mum and I have been looking though old photos choosing which ones to include.

“It’ll be out after Christmas and I’m really proud of it. I hope you’ll like it.”

The Girls Aloud star accompanied her post with a throwback snap of her as a child.

A young Sarah could be seen sleeping on a chair with oversized headphones on, seemingly listening to music.

She also included a picture of the cover of her upcoming new book titled Hear Me Out.

Many of Sarah’s fans flocked to her post to comment.

One user wrote: “I am so proud of you!!”

“Sending so much love,” a second commented.

A third penned: “Lots of love to you.”

Ahead of her latest post, a source claimed she had moved back to Manchester so she could start treatment with her mum caring for her.

A source told The Sun: “Sarah has been supported by her friends and family throughout everything but her mum Marie has been her absolute rock.

“After learning she had cancer Sarah moved back to Marie’s home in Manchester so she could start treatment with her mum caring for her.

“Sarah is undergoing intensive treatment and is holding up well.

“Being with her mum is the best place for her.”
