Saira Khan has been looking amazing recently and has spoken out about her weight loss journey.
The body-positive presenter, 51, – who left Loose Women earlier this year- has now told OK! that she’s got so into her health and fitness that she’s working towards entering a bikini competition.
Speaking exclusively to OK! as she updated us on the results of her recent Emsella Chair treatment for incontinence, the star explained: “I'm actually working towards a bikini body competition. I just thought you know what, I always thought I'm never going to be able to get that shape that I want. Now, I want to prove to women that if you want it or when you are ready and willing to put in a bit of the hard work, this is what you can do.”
Still, mum of two Saira says she’s working towards the journey to prove a point. She explains: “I want to say the images that we see of women with six packs and muscles, is physically not accessible to most women. Most of us have kids, we haven't got time to spend three hours in the gym a day. Right? That is completely unachievable.”
Saira continued, “I want to be able to say what I have just achieved is totally and utterly ridiculous, so don't look at these photos. And let me show you how you pose and what posing is, because I need to go on that journey for myself. So that I can speak out and say, right, these are my before photos. And to be honest, I don't look bad there. And these are me posing having restricted my food and gone to the gym three hours a day, seven days a week. Who the hell can do that?”
In fact, Saira has recently shared an update on her weight loss journey with her Instagram followers.
The former Loose Women star posted a series of photos on her page with the caption: "In January I did a little video about how I could not zip up this jumpsuit. I vowed myself I would zip it up in 3 months."
The star revealed her weight loss actually took her eight months in the end but told fans to get healthier and fitter you have to be 'patient with yourself'.

Saira said diet alone was not enough to see results. "You will not be able to lose fat by just eating the right foods, you also have to relax, sleep and drink water," she explained.
She also admitted she didn't weigh herself, insisting: "I do not use scales as a measure of my health. I used how I feel about myself and I use my waist as a good measure."
Posting another photo in a striking jumpsuit, Saira added: "When you reach any goal smile. Enjoy the moment. Pat yourself on the back. Remember how you achieved it.
"It’s the experience of setting and achieving goals that gives you confidence to go after your dreams."
Saira's treatment took place at ERA Clinics in Thame.
