S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens has paid a heartbreaking tribute to Paul Cattermole on Heart radio.

Paul tragically died last week aged 46, his family confirmed, but the cause has yet to be revealed.

A statement from Paul's family and S Club 7 issued to OK! on 7 April said: "It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole.

"Paul was found yesterday, 6th April 2023 at his home in Dorset and was pronounced dead later that afternoon.

"While the cause of death is currently unknown, Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances. Paul’s family, friends and fellow members of S Club request privacy at this time."

Several days on from his untimely death, Rachel, 45, shared her heartbreak over Paul’s passing.

Speaking to her radio listers, the songstress said: “Thank you so much for joining me, as much as I love being with for the Heart 00s party playing all my favourite songs, it's a bit of an emotional show for me today, but it feels so incredibly special to be able to honour Paul.

“[S Club 7] are heartbroken, but we are all grateful for the memories we shared together.

“So I'd like to take a moment to play you this, which is a song that holds lots of memories for me, it's S Club 7 Two In A Million.”

The songstress has previously addressed her bandmate’s death on social media as she thanked S Club fans for their support.

Alongside a throwback snap of Paul, Rachel penned: “Thank you so much for all your beautiful messages of love and support [broken heart emoji] The outpouring of love for our Paul has been so incredibly special and has meant so much. I hope he knew how loved he was.”

She went on: “Such a kind, gentle and sensitive soul with the most incredible energy and such a wild free spirit. He would light up any room.

"We are heartbroken but so grateful for the memories we all shared. An absolute shining star who we will love and miss always RIP darling Paul".

Fellow stars Kimberly Walsh and Louise Rednapp went on to share their condolences, as well as former Love Island host Laura Whitmore.
