With just a week away from the launch of a new series of Love Island, contestant Lana Jenkins has been announced on the line-up – and it's been revealed that the make-up artist used to date I'm A Celebrity's heartthrob Owen Warner.
Lana, 25, previously found love with 23 year old Hollyoaks actor Owen – who won over the hearts of the nation on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me out of Here! last year.
It is believed the pair had a romance following Owen's split from Hollyoaks co-star Stephanie Davis, who is now dating Joseph Mckalroy.
The actor reportedly left flirty comments on Lana's Instagram page for a few months after splitting from Stephanie – which was reportedly because he felt things were moving too fast.
Stephanie, 29, and Owen dated for nine months after their friendship on the soap turned romantic.
Lana, who is from Luton, is believed to be friends with many of the Hollyoaks cast after the former couple met through mutual friends.
The blonde beauty shared a loved-up snap of her and Owen back in June 2020 before going their separate ways.
As she prepares to meet her fellow islanders this year, Lana revealed she "falls in love quickly" when getting to know someone romantically.
"I fall in love quickly. I tend to know quite soon if I could fall in love with that person and then, as long as everything is going well, I’ll probably tell them I love them in about a week," she shared.
But Lana won't be planning a wedding anytime soon if the guy appears too keen over text.
"I don’t mind people texting me all the time but if you send me question marks if I’ve not replied to you in a while, you’re gone," Lana revealed.
"That's a really big red flag for me! Also if I see a guy trip over, that's an instant turn-off."
Love Island unveiled its 2023 winter line-up with a biomedical science student and a teacher leading the singles jetting out to South Africa to find love.
Newbie Kai Fagan, 24, who is a science and PE teacher from Manchester, revealed he can't wait to get into the villa as he is on a mission to find "the right girl".
"I’m single by choice. I’m looking for the right girl," he says.
"I feel like I have quite high expectations. I don’t feel I should commit to someone unless I’m absolutely buzzing over them, because it’s not fair on them."
