“Hamilton” is getting a new Eliza. Krystal Joy Brown, who last appeared on Broadway as Diana Ross in “Motown,” will take over the role of Alexander Hamilton’s wife in the mega-hit on Dec. 10.
“I’m extremely excited about the types of roles there are for black women these days and how the landscape of Broadway has changed from 10 years, or five years, ago,” she told us. “What Lin- [Manuel Miranda] has done to show a world of black and brown stars is extremely exciting to me,” adding, it’s helped her know “my opportunities . . . are endless.” Brown tells us, “ I am excited to go play, and give new life to, Eliza.”
