Meghan Markle ‘messaged The Wanted hunk Max George’ before she met Prince Harry

Meghan Markle is said to have swapped messages with The Wanted hunk Max George before she met Prince Harry .

The Duchess of Sussex, who recently welcomed son Archie with the royal, reportedly sent tweets back and forth with the singer, at the same time she's said to have been trying to arrange a meeting with X Factor star Matt Cardle.

According to The Sun , Meghan struck up an unlikely friendship with Max while she was single and looking for a British man after the breakdown of her marriage to first husband Trevor Engelson.

A source said: "Meghan was reaching out to a number of celebrities in the UK as she spent more time there.

"Max was one of the biggest stars in pop music at the time and they connected on Twitter .

"They swapped a few messages and had a lovely conversation but in the end nothing came out of it — she met her husband soon after."

The insider added that Max was getting so many messages from women that he'd forgot about Meghan until she was unveiled as Prince Harry's girlfriend.

They said he hasn't heard from Meghan since and that he wishes her well.

Radio host Lizzie Cundy recently claimed that Meghan asked her to help find her a "famous British man" when she was single.

Lizzie had struck up a friendship with then Suits actress Meghan and accompanied her to a charity dinner in 2013, The Sun reported.

Lizzie revealed that she was having a 'girly chat' with Meghan in which she asked: "Do you know any famous guys?"

Meghan went on to say that she was "single" and "really loves English men," and pleaded with Lizzie.

In the end the TV personality said: "We’ll go out and find you someone."

Kensington Palace did not want to comment when contacted by Mirror Online.
