Marnie Simpson impressed fans as she showed off her new figure after being in a “dark place”.
The Geordie Shore star, 30, posed in a bikini on her Instagram account, saying she managed to “turn around” her lifestyle to lose 2.5 stone.
The star posed in front of a fan in golden heels and a black bikini with gold buckles as she spun around to reveal the ‘before’ and ‘after’ shots of her new eating and exercise plan.
Opening up on her journey in the caption, Marnie wrote: “Turned it around guys! Was in quite a dark place with my confidence a few months ago feeling like I’d lost myself.
"Like the old Marnie had disappeared. With being a mum, all these health problems, I got really down tbh."
“I gained A LOT of weight with comfort eating and the PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and thought that was it. I was always going to feel a bit [poo emoji].”
She added: "But I’m feeling myself again after losing 2 and 1/2 Stone and getting back into exercise and eating better. Not even better – just better portion control."
Fans were loving Marnie’s transformation, with one writing: “You look lovely in both, but well done for the dedication amazing xxx”
Another commented: "Well done Marnie. You’re glowing," while a third person said: "You look so happy and glowing!"
Mum of two Marnie has been open with her followers about some health issues she’s been facing recently, telling fans last month that "it's still a struggle" following on from her two year battle with a chronic bladder condition.
During a Q and A with fans on Instagram Stories in November, Marnie addressed a question which said: "How is your health now?"
Responding to the fan query, Marnie said: "My health is still a struggle and I think I always will have health issues as it's a genetic thing but I have massively changed my lifestyle around which has helped considerably."
Another fan made a comment to Marnie saying: "You seem so much happier and back to yourself lately plus you look INCREDIBLE! Is this true?"
In response to the question, the star, who shares sons Rox, three, and six month old Oax with fiancé Casey Johnson, said: "Thank you so much this means a lot , I do feel so happy and content atm, I finally feel back to the old me.
"I totally lost myself after the birth of Rox and it's been a long road getting myself [back]," she continued. "it's legit took 3 years but I'm feeling great again and I like this marnie haha she's definitely here to stay."
