Just a few weeks after her 40th birthday, Kate Middleton's mother, Carole, shared a throwback photo of the duchess and her siblings — sort of. Officially, the photo came courtesy of Carole's business, Party Pieces, but royal fans won't be picky about where the snapshot comes from when they see the super-sweet look at Kate and Co. as kids. The photo went up to commemorate Carole's birthday, Hello! reports. It actually went up on the wrong day, but the team at Party Pieces took the photo down when they realized it was a day early and re-posted the picture.
Clad in party hats and armed with noisemakers, the black-and-white photo shows Carole alongside her children Kate, Pippa, and James.
Party Pieces captioned the heartwarming shot with, "Happiest of Birthdays to the party planner extraordinaire! We hope you have the most magical day."
Marie Claire notes that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also shared a throwback image of a young Kate for Father's Day in 2020 — and the shot instantly drew comparisons between Kate and Princess Charlotte. And way back in 2018, Prince William shared an image of a very young Kate when he visited Jordan, where he visited Jerash, a very special spot to the Middleton family. William took a photo in the very same spot where Kate, her sister, and her dad posed when they lived in Jordan.
