Kate Ferdinand has found the perfect way to balance parenting and gym time, by entertaining her one year old son, Cree, while she's busy working out.
In a sweet video posted on Instagram this morning, 30 year old Kate ran up and down in front of curly-haired Cree, who was sat in his high chair and giggling as she pulled funny faces. She captioned the video: “A warm up + kids entertainment in one.”
The former TOWIE star was working out in the gym of the lavish mansion in Kent that she shares with her husband, former footballer, Rio Ferdinand, 43, and their children.
Kate is stepmother to Rio’s three kids sons Lorenz, 15, Tate, 13, and daughter Tia, 11, whom he shared with his late wife, Rebecca Ellison, who sadly died in 2015 after a short battle with cancer.
Essex-born Kate gave birth to her first child with Rio in December 2020.
The TV personality is known for her love of fitness, and she’s previously spoken about what exercise and fitness means to her.
Earlier this year, she told The Mirror: “I like going to the gym and I really love walking. Walking really clears my mind,
"I love getting out with Cree and the dogs to get fresh air. At the gym, I do a bit of everything.”
When discussing whether she felt pressure to “bounce back” after having a baby, Kate said: “You do feel pressure naturally, as a lot of people use the phrase 'bounce back', but I didn’t put pressure on myself – I think it’s more in society there’s pressure.
“I felt quite relaxed. My body has just given me a beautiful baby and I feel much more relaxed, even now.
“I enjoy working out – it clears my mind – but I don’t feel the need to be crazy about it or put loads of pressure on myself, because there are much more important things."
Kate, Rio and the kids recently enjoyed a family holiday, where Kate showed off her impressive beach wardrobe in a fun TikTok video directed by her step daughter, Tia.
In the video posted to Instagram, Kate could be seen modelling six bikinis in shades of pink, green, black, cream, red, blue and lilac, blue and brown, as she partook in the TikTok trend of clicking your fingers as your outfits change.
