Jimmy Osmond’s worried relatives have rushed to the UK to be by his side after he suffered a stroke on stage.
The US entertainer, 55, endured a “crippling attack” while starring in Peter Pan in the Birmingham Hippodrome panto. His wife, Michelle, and daughter, Isabella Olive Renee, yesterday flew to Britain to support him.
When he is not touring, Jimmy lives in Utah, in America, with Michelle and their four children,
The star fell ill on Thursday but managed to finish his performance as Captain Hook before being taken to hospital.
Jimmy, who had a string of 70s hits, is the youngest member of family band The Osmonds. He starred in I’m A Celebrity in 2005.
Yesterday, his brother Donny, 61, said: “Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers on behalf of my little brother, Jimmy. I love you, brother.”
Jimmy will not return to Peter Pan and will be replaced by actor Darren Day, 50.
Fiona Allen, of Birmingham Hippodrome, said everyone at the venue is “deeply saddened”.
