Hayley Williams Performs Solo Songs On NPR’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert

Hayley Williams performed songs from her debut solo album Petals for Armor during her appearance on the latest installment of NPR‘s “Tiny Desk (Home) Concert.”

Hayley, accompanied by a band that included friends and Tiny Desk alumnae Julien Baker on the guitar and Becca Mancari on backup vocals, performed “Pure Love,” “Taken,” and “Dead Horse” from the album. She also had Aaron Steele manning the drums and Joey Howard playing bass.

“I’ve never done this without Paramore,” Williams announced during her concert. She performed the mini-set from her home.

Hayley released Petals for Armor, which was written during her self-imposed isolation, in a series of EPs in May. She previously performed “Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris,” a song from the album, during the Ruth Bader Ginsburg tribute concert Honor Her Wish in October.
