Godsmack topped Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart dated December 15, with its “When Legends Rise,” climbing to No.1 from the fourth place.
This is the second No. 1 on the chart for Godsmack, after “Bulletproof,” another track from When Legends Rise, reigned at the top for five weeks beginning in May.
Overall, the rise of “When Legends Rise” marked the band’s ninth climb to the peak, starting from 2001, when “Awake” rose to the top spot in February that year.
Nielsen Music said, “When Legends Rise” moved from 16th 13th spot on the all-rock-format Rock Airplay chart, earning 4.7 million audience impressions, clocking a 10 percent jump.
