This new series “follows a group of five high schoolers who unleash supernatural forces upon their town and must all work together – thanks to and in spite of their friendships, rivalries, and pasts with each other – in order to save it, learning much about their own parents’ teenage secrets in the process.”

Goosebumps has previously had a TV series in the ’90s, which aired for four seasons between 1996 and 1998, on Fox.

While the show will air on Disney+, it will be produced by Sony Pictures Television. Sony actually released two Goosebumps movies in 2015, starring Jack Black and Dylan Minnette, and 2018, a sequel starring Madison Iseman, Wendi McClendon-Covey and more.

This isn’t the first time that Disney has brought RL Stine books to life. Just recently, Disney+ aired the anthology series Just Beyond.
