Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry has paid a heartfelt tribute to her dad this Father’s Day, following his tragic death last year.
This year’s Father’s Day marks the first Chloe has celebrated without her beloved dad, after he sadly lost his battle with cancer in December 2021.
In a moving tribute to him, the Newcastle born star shared a snap of her younger self cuddled up to him, alongside a caption which read: “Happy birthday and happy farthers day to my dad I miss you every day I would do anything to see you again today I’m really struggling with you not been here".
She continued: “I can’t get my head around I will never see you again or have our funny chats we have.
“I love you so much you mean the world to me and always will.”
The reality star had previously been open about her strong relationship with her dad, with his tragic death last year coming as a huge blow to the young Geordie. The grieving star was forced to take some time away from the spotlight as she came to terms with such a significant loss.
Announcing his death at the time, Chloe wrote: "I've struggled to write this and still can't accept it what I'm about to say!"
She went on: "I'm a very open person and normally happy to share all details of my life, however this is a time where I really need to have some privacy.
"I sadly lost my dad after his battle with cancer and it still doesn't feel real!”
Chloe added: "I am going to take a break from social media and work commitments.
"As a family we are all dealing with this and trying to come to terms with it…
"I'd really appreciate it if I was given some time to deal with it in my own way!”
Chloe’s parents split when she was six years old, with the reality star raised by her mother Liz.
However, she remained in contact with her dad, frequently sharing Father’s Day messages and fond memories on her social media feed throughout the years.
This included a particularly poignant video clip back in December as she shared footage of her family unwrapping their Christmas gifts alongside the details of her father’s final wish.
Chloe wrote: "RIP to my beautiful dad. You asked one wish at Christmas for all of us to be happy and together and here we all are we miss you everyday and we wish you were here.”
