Amanda Holden accidentally says ‘sex’ whilst hosting radio show
TV and radio star Amanda Holden has shared a clip from her Heart Radio Breakfast Show online yesterday after making a bit of slip up on the airwaves. Clearly amused by her error, the Britain’s Got Talent judge posted a video of the incident on Instagram, in view of her 1.6 million followers.
In the footage, Amanda, who was dressed in a denim playsuit for her stint on the radio, could be seen talking into the microphone in the studio.
Amid more coronavirus restrictions, the 49-year-old host spoke about about a new “lockdown challenge.”
The singer, who is married to Chris Hughes, then joked that she had “sex on the brain”.
“There’s this amazing article in one of the newspapers today which is calling it a lockdown challenge, which I prefer because it’s a good spin,“ Amanda began.

She went on to add: “It’s thinking about what you can do for yourself over the next sex weeks…
“Sex? Sex weeks,” the BGT star remarked, instantly realising her error.
“That escalated quickly,” her co-host Jamie Theakston added.
“That’s probably not one of the things for most of us,” the radio host continued.
Later in the show, Amanda made the same error a second time, accidentally saying sex instead of six.
The radio DJ said: “Earlier in the show, we were talking about what you can do over the next sex weeks… oh, I’ve done it again.
“It’s on the brain,” Jamie exclaimed.
Sharing the clip online, the ITV star seemed to agree with her colleague’s remark.
“Blimey I’ve clearly got it on the brain… #lockdownlife @thisisheart,” she captioned her post.
Many took to the comments section to share their thoughts following the blunder.
Singer and The Voice UK coach Olly Murs added several laughing emojis, as did fellow radio presenter Mollie King.
“Hilarious!” wrote one social media user alongside the post.
“Ohh Amanda That just made my morning,” another added.
“Only you could get away with that,” a third person remarked, while a fourth commented: “Our mornings would be too boring without you”.
