Dogs can choose from plenty of careers these days including becoming police dogs, rescue dogs, therapy dogs, guide dogs… and now hotel critics!
Hotels.com has launched a brand new campaign in search of a Canine Critic to help review a host of pet-friendly hotels around the world.
The job involves spending 10 nights in dog-friendly hotels and trying out the facilities, whether the hotels offer special dog-focused treatments or have special suites for man's best friend.
The hotel bookings website decided to create the role after research showed that reviews of pet-friendly hotels has increased by 62 per cent over the last two years.
And who better to review those hotels than dog themselves?
Of course owners are invited along for the ride – after all, dogs need to make sure the hotels are catering to their humans too!
To help launch the global search for a new Canine Critic, Hotels.com enlisted the help of Instagram sensation Dolly Pawton , a Chihuahua who has become a hit on social media thanks to her glamorous lifestyle.
Dolly spent a night in London's lavish The Curtain Hotel, relaxing with breakfast in bed, having a nap and making use of the facilities.
Think your dog has what it takes?
To apply, all you need to do is follow @hotelsdotcom on Instagram, then upload a picture or video of your pooch tagging @hotelsdotcom and including the hashtag #CanineCritic in the post.
Dolly Pawton commented: "I’m the type of girl that loves the finer things in life, whether that is a martini by the pool or some eye candy that will bring me breakfast in bed – and I still expect all these things when I travel.
"Don’t come at me if there are no fluffy robes in my hotel room or treats on my pillow #Diva.
"That’s why I am so excited to launch the Hotel.com Canine Critic search – us kweens gotta have each other’s backs so we know exactly where the pedigree spots are for our travels…and our humans too I suppose."
