A woman has sent Twitter wild after sharing a ‘life-changing’ computer hack that will delight anyone who’s ever battled with caps lock on their keyboard.
Rachel Hawkins, 32, from Bristol revealed a quick trick for changing large chunks of text from upper case to lower case.
She was responding to a tweet which read: ‘Typing away only to realise cAPS LOCK HAS BEEN ACCIDENTALLY PUT ON AND YOU HAVE TO START THE WHOLE DAMN THING AGAIN’.
Being helpful, the mother-of-one replied: ‘Highlight it all then shift + F3’.

Little did she know, she was soon inundated with floods of messages praising her for the ‘mindblowing’ shortcut, with some even joking she should receive a Damehood.

Rachel, who works for a charity, told Femail, she stumbled across the shortcut by accident years ago.
‘I remember showing a couple of colleagues how to do it in my current job, not long after I first started, and they were blown away by it too!’ she said.
‘To be honest, I thought most people would know that tip but then unless you’re using keyboards for long periods or have been using them for a long time you might not know!’

The shortcut only works in Outlook and Word, but has certainly caused people to go wild.
