You know what would be hella awkward? Having to testify against you parents when they go to trial for scamming your way into college. But that might be Olivia Jade’s reality thanks to her mom and dad, Full House actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, pleading not guilty in the college admissions scandal.
A source tells ET that while Olivia and her sister Bella were aware their parents were allegedly speaking to someone who could, ahem, ~get them into USC~ they “didn’t realize the extreme” lengths they went to. Those extreme lengths allegedly being paying “bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team—despite the fact that they did not participate in crew—thereby facilitating their admission to USC.”
ET’s sources say Olivia and Bella thought their parents were simply donating money for crew team scholarships, and she is *not* thrilled. “Olivia’s still mad at her parents,” the source says, explaining that she’s “terrified at the idea she may have to testify against them.”
Meanwhile, Bella has deleted her Instagram account in the wake of her parents pleading not guilty, while Lori and her husband still seem SHOOK that all of this is even happening to them. “The idea of going to trial is terrifying for Lori,” a source recently told People. “Everything comes out in trial, whether or not it’s relevant to the case. She will be under a microscope, and you only have to look at the paparazzi outside the court to know that there is widespread interest in this case. She will lose every bit of her privacy, and that’s a shame. This really is a family matter.”
