The 2019 National Hunt Chase will take place on Tuesday, March 12 at 16:50 (4.50pm).

It’s a Grade 2 National Hunt steeplechase run over four milers, for horses aged five years and upwards.

9-2 shot Rathvinden won the race for Patrick Mullins and trainer Willie Mullins. He beat the gamed Ms Parfois (11-2) in a battling finish.

Sizing Tennessee (8-1) finished third a long way behind the front two.

Which jockeys and trainers have won the National Hunt Chase the most? 

Jonjo O’Neill is the leading trainer having landed the race six times.

He trained Front Line (1995), Rith Dubh (2002), Sudden Shock (2003), Native Emperor (2004), Butler’s Cabin (2007) and Minella Rocco (2016) to all win the race.

A total of 11 jockeys have won the race twice before, they include Derek O’Connor and Patrick Mullins.
