Wyattville Park in Loughlinstown, Co Dublin, enjoyed a little vicarious notoriety recently, if only in that the estate borders the playing fields of Ballybrack Football Club, which made headlines late last year for faking the death of one of its players to get out of a match.
Wyattville Park is a cul-de-sac estate opening off Wyattville Road, and No68 Wyattville Park is almost at the very corner of the street.
You can duck from there into a sizable public park and make your way through that up to the football club.
The estate is handily situated for families with children as there are plenty of schools nearby. Just bordering the estate is St Laurence College, a co-educational Marianist secondary school, and there’s also a national school and a Montessori nearby. And Coolevin Scout Den is a three-minute walk across the park.
Wyattville is a long-established estate and the trees along the streets are maturing nicely.
The back garden of No 68 is surrounded by mature trees and, consequently, enjoys quite a bit of privacy.
Inside, the place has recently been refurbished and its layout redesigned, and both the attic and garage have been converted.
There is now 1,873 sq ft to move about in, including four first-floor bedrooms.
The garage has become a playroom with a utility off it.
Along with the kitchen, the other main living room is a long, open-plan lounge, dining room and sunroom running from the front of the house to the back, with French doors leading from the sunroom to the garden.
The attic consists of two skylit rooms, one used as a bedroom and the other as a study.
Next door, No 70 sold in April 2017 for €520,000, according to the Property Price Register.
No 68 is on the market for €545,000 with Hunters Estate Agent, (01) 275 1640.
